Out of State Services

We can help you no matter where you live

As families become more and more mobile, and as loved ones move away for retirement and other reasons, it has become very common to have to handle probate matters for clients that are out of state. We often encounter clients that live outside of the state of Georgia but are responsible for probating a will of a loved one or administering their estate here in Georgia. If your loved one died while a resident of Georgia or owned real estate in Georgia, you will likely have to file paperwork in one of the Georgia Probate Courts.

How are we different?

Most law firms are not set up to handle clients in other states. We routinely help clients from other states, or even other countries, navigate the probate process here in Georgia. In many cases, we can even arrange for you to be sworn in as executor or administrator in your home state so you may not even have to travel to Georgia at all.

How do we do it?

By using cutting edge technology, we are able to serve clients all over the nation. By utilizing email, text messaging, video conference and video calling, e-signing of some documents, and online payments, we are able to deliver legal services to those that are scattered around the globe. In many cases, we handle a client’s matter from start to finish and never actually meet the client face to face.
